Firebird is an open source
relational database management system,
originally descended from Borland's InterBase.
The software, which is available for
Linux,
Microsoft Windows,
and a number of UNIX platforms, is licensed under a combination of the
Initial Developer's Public License (IDPL) and InterBase Public License,
both of which are based on the
Mozilla Public License.
