Sun Microsystems, Inc. (Nasdaq:JAVA) today announced a multi-year OEM agreement with Fujitsu Siemens(TM) Computers to distribute the Solaris(TM) Operating System (OS) and Solaris(TM) Subscriptions with selected Fujitsu Siemens PRIMERGY servers. The agreement enables Fujitsu Siemens to streamline how its customers acquire Solaris-based PRIMERGY systems and related support services by offering Solaris with its servers from the factory. Sun and Fujitsu Siemens Computers will work together in certifying solutions based on Solaris and PRIMERGY hardware and the two companies will work together to secure support from key independent software and hardware vendors.
