Now that mobile tech titans Nokia and Qualcomm have ended a series of long-standing patent disputes, Qualcomm chief executive Paul Jacobs says he sees "opportunities across the board" for cooperation with his company's former foe. The settlement, announced July 23, put to rest the companies' disputes over IP and royalties. The ink had barely dried when Jacobs told managers they were entering a new era.
